Making Vegan Sushi on the Mental Health Channel

A few months ago the film crew at the Mental Health Channel interviewed me and my culinary student Vasavi Kumar to give insight into the question, “How does healthy eating affect your emotions and overall mental state?” They filmed our macrobiotic vegan sushi cooking class at the Natural Epicurean with the January 2014 track students. Ayurveda Chutneys class

We made 4 delicious chutneys today in my class at The Natural Epicurean. Chutneys add a colorful, flavorful accent to meals and can be sweet, savory, sour, or hot and spicy.

Today we made:
Cilantro mint chutney
Sweet potato chutney
Ginger date chutney
Green apple chutney
We tasted them with chickpea pancakes. Yum!
